Jodi Gilray

PT, DPT, c/NDT, NTMTC, L1 Scoliosis Certification

Jodi has been practicing physical therapy since 2004 and has been a business owner since 2010. She received a Bachelors of Science in Physiology from the University of Arizona in 2001 and received a clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2004. Jodi completed her certification in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) in 2011.  She has clinical experience working in multiple outpatient orthopedic clinics, in-patient neurological rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, early intervention and home-based pediatric therapy, school-based therapy, and now in outpatient pediatrics.

Jodi specializes in developmental kinesiology in infants utilizing an interdisciplinary and holistic approach for diagnosis and is qualified to properly assess and treat infants with quality and compassion.  She is experienced with specific facilitation techniques to promote typical musculoskeletal development in infants with skilled handling and knowledge to maximize a child’s development and minimize their missed opportunities due to delays.  She is also trained in and utilizes gentle techniques that include myofascial release and craniosacral therapy to obtain improvements in a child’s flexibility and improve alignment of the cranium.  Jodi has a passion for changing posture and gait and has spent much of her career being instrumental in the success of an alternative approach for toe-walking. She has also had extensive training in the kinematics and kinetics of gait and uses gait analysis to properly diagnose and prescribe an orthotic that will normalize the biomechanical features of typical gait. Jodi uses her handling skills, knowledge and experience to mentor novice physical therapists.

Nicole Willis

Nicole was born and raised in Connecticut where she graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Biology. She then moved to Miami where she attended the University of Miami and graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017. During that time, she also became a certified Pilates Instructor with a comprehensive rehabilitation focus where she was able to combine her love for Pilates into her Physical Therapy practice. Nicole spent several years working with a wide variety of patient populations including high level athletes, weekend warriors, geriatrics, and chronic pain prior to moving to Arizona and discovering her love for pediatric care. She is passionate about her work and dedicated to helping her kids optimize movement, improve function, and increase play by providing the highest quality care. She is motivated and inspired by the development of her own young daughter and is grateful to have the opportunity to help other children achieve their goals. Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog while hiking, camping, and exploring all of the beautiful scenery Arizona has to offer.

Sarah Hoover

Sarah is a Prescott native that completed her Physiology degree at the University of Arizona in 2011 and her Physical Therapist Assistant (Associate Degree) at Carrington College in 2015. She has an extensive background in adaptive athletics, orthopedic therapy and pediatric therapy. Additionally, in 2019 Sarah completed her 200 hour YTT (Yoga Teacher Training) certification which had a portion of the program dedicated to the application of yogic principles and asanas to the therapeutic treatment of individuals/children with various developmental disabilities, affording her the ability to utilize a more holistic approach while providing PT to the pediatric population which she serves here at Jodi Gilray Pediatrics.

Ashley grew up in Florida and Alabama but has made the Prescott area her home for years. She graduated from Clark State Community College in Ohio with Associates in Applied Physical Therapy Science in 2009. Ashley began working in pediatric home health in Mesa in 2010, moved to the Prescott area to an outpatient orthopedic clinic in 2011. She started her family in 2018 and took about a year off of work after her second son was born and joined the Jodi Gilray therapy team in February of 2022. You will often hear her singing loudly in the gym, she loves musical theater and performs with the One Stage Family Theater. Ashley enjoys sewing in her free time and spending time with her family.

Cheryl was raised primarily in the Annapolis, MD area where she came to appreciate team sports and the outdoors. For her Bachelor of Science degree, she decided to venture to Arizona to attend The University of Arizona, where her love for biology became a driving force which led her to pursue a graduate degree at The University of California, Berkeley. After countless hours hanging out with insects, plants, and birds. Cheryl was inspired to pursue biology from another perspective as a middle school biology teacher for 11 years. Several years ago, Cheryl found CrossFit and a passion for movement and its role in health and wellbeing. She became a CrossFit Level 1 trainer and started her journey to combine all her interests (biology, teaching, learning, movement, and health) in the field of physical therapy earning her Physical Therapist Assistant Associate Degree from Pima Medical Institute in 2018. She had an amazing opportunity to work in an outpatient clinic in Tucson with a focus on treating people with Parkinson’s Disease. Later, she was fortunate enough to work in a skilled nursing facility. Cheryl is so excited to have moved to Prescott in August of 2023 and to have the phenomenal opportunity to work with children again. Cheryl’s hobbies include CrossFit training, running, biking, hiking, camping, being a dog mom, and basically anything outside.

Cynthia Smith

MOT, OTR/L, SCFES

Cynthia received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of North Dakota in 2015. She has clinical experience in outpatient pediatrics providing client-centered evaluations, education, and interventions for children ages birth to 22 with congenital and acquired delays in the areas of fine motor, visual-motor integration, self-help, and sensory-based processing disorders. Cynthia has a passion for addressing feeding and sensory concerns for her pediatric clients. She has received continuing education in the Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to feeding where she learned to integrate posture, sensory, motor, behavioral/learning, medical, and nutritional factors to comprehensively evaluate and manage children with feeding and growth problems. Cynthia also received her AOTA specialty certificate in feeding, eating, and swallowing. Outside of work, Cynthia enjoys traveling with her husband, reading, and exploring the outdoors.

Karinsue Miller

Karinsue Miller, OTR/L obtained an Occupational Therapy, BS degree from Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. She has 39 years’ experience in pediatrics and has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient/outpatient hospital, NICU, Child Development Centers, schools and in Early Intervention. She is certified and experienced in Sensory Integration, SIPT and Neuro-Developmental Therapy, NDT techniques. She also has experience in evaluating and treating children with multiple and complex physical, cognitive and neuro diverse disabilities. An important part of her philosophy of therapy treatment is listening to and educating family members accessibility. Her specialties of treatment are sensory integration therapy, feeding therapy, NDT, and play based therapy.
She is also a certified yoga teacher 200 RYT, Ordained MC minister, Massage therapist, LMT, Reiki Practitioner.

Montana grew up in Prescott, Arizona. She received her Bachelors of Science in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Arizona and received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Northern Arizona University. She has clinical experience in outpatient pediatrics completing evaluations and client-centered care, as well as a background in feeding therapy using the sequential oral sensory approach. Montana has always been passionate about working with kids and making a positive impact in their lives. In her free time she enjoys spending her time outdoors with her husband and dog.

Liesl LaDuke

Having received her education from Parkland College in Illinois, Liesl and her dog Max moved to Arizona to be closer to family. Occupational Therapy is Liesl’s second career. After receiving her Bachelor of Science at Illinois State University, Liesl built her first career in sales management. After being exposed to the health field and learning about Occupational Therapy, Liesl was hooked. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Liesl enjoys being able to help individuals locate the tools and support they need in order to live their best lives. Liesl enjoys getting to know each person’s uniqueness, and addressing each individual’s challenges with compassion and creativity. Liesl has worked with a variety of patient populations, including those on the autism spectrum, pediatrics, and the elderly, in a variety of settings. Liesl enjoys being able to assist children dealing with a host of diagnoses and conditions, including sensory processing disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, as well as genetic disorders. Preparing for and participating in school requires many skills and tools and Liesl has a passion for ensuring each child has the opportunity to learn and grow in their environments.

Sierra is a Prescott Valley native and received her first associate degree from Yavapai College and then her Associates of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Brookline College. She has clinical experience in pediatric home health and school-based OT working with children to improve sensory processing disorders, motor skills, and much more. Sierra is eager to provide the tools kids need to be able to achieve their goals. Outside of work Sierra enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and dogs.

Jill Morse

Jill is a veteran speech/language pathologist with 20 years of experience predominately in the area of pediatrics. She has spent her career in assessing, treatment coordination, and counseling patients for a variety of speech/language difficulties including language learning disabilities, articulation/sound development delays, autism spectrum disorders, hearing, voice, and fluency disorders. Additionally, Jill has provided instruction to staff, other professionals, and parents in language development, sound development, communication strategies, and autism spectrum disorders. She has also provided supervision of graduate practicum and speech/language pathologist assistant students.

Maricar is a U.S. Navy Veteran. She has a B.A. in Communicative Disorders from California State University. Maricar has 16+ years of experience as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant. In her time as a SPLA she has worked in schools, home health services and now continues to work in a clinical outpatient. Maricar is fantastic at creating a fun and exciting environment for her patients. She is great at sharing laughs and smiles with her patients. You can oftentimes hear the laughs of the kids filling the hall from her room and that is something Maricar works really hard with the kids. Maricar also likes to spend her time outdoors, hiking with Trail Sisters or Prescott and Kayaking the local lakes. She has also been happily married for 34 years and has two sons and two Labradors! (Her favorite breed.)

Grace earned her degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Arizona State University. After graduating with her Bachelor’s in 2021, she and her husband took a chance and relocated to Southwest Montana. In the small town of Dillon, MT, Grace had the opportunity to practice as an SLPA and serve children from all over the county. After living in Montana for almost three years, she and her husband decided to move back home to Arizona. They now live in Prescott Valley with their German Shepherd, Sheba, and enjoy backpacking and hiking all over the state. Grace enjoys working with children and having the chance to make a positive impact in their speech and language development. Grace is honored and ecstatic to become part of the Jodi Gilray team.

Lauren grew up in Prescott and got her Associate’s degree at Yavapai College. She attended Utah State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Psychology in 2016. After that, she went on to teach different age groups in the school system. While collaborating with SLP’s for her classroom students, she realized her true passion was for treating speech and language disorders. She returned to school and earned a second Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Arizona State University in 2022. She is currently in the Speech-Language Pathology Master’s program at Northern Arizona University with plans to graduate and become an SLP in 2025. When she is not working or attending school, she is home with her husband, Evan, and four-year-old daughter, Norah. She enjoys reading, napping, and spending time outdoors.

Dawn moved to Prescott Valley in 2019 and started working for Jodi Gilray, PT, DPT, c/NDT and is now the Office Manager, managing many key aspects of business and keeping the day to day operations running smoothly.  She has worked in the medical field for over 15 yrs. Dawn has 2 Daughters and 2 dogs and love spending time with my family doing activities outdoors.

Hidie was born in Denver, Colorado. She has spent most of her life traveling around due to her Dad being in the military. Hidie moved to Arizona when she was 15 and has been living in Cottonwood for the past 12 years. She has worked in health care for 28 years. Hidie dedicates her time in the community coaching cheerleading. She has 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Her hobbies are photography and cooking with her grandchildren.

Aubrey moved to Prescott in August of 2023. She grew up in New Mexico and received her bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Science at New Mexico State University. She’s enjoying getting to know the area and still has a lot to explore throughout the state of Arizona! On the weekends she enjoys spending time with her cat, making art, and exploring the town of Prescott.
